If you just started the caveman diet, then you probably are thinking, “what can I eat?” At first, you likely will be thinking that you have such little options, especially when it comes to breakfast, but there happens to be quite a lot of amazing recipes that you can do that are just as good if not better than your favorite breakfast dishes. 

Healthy Breakfast Recipes Worth Trying

– The Basic Omelet

Omelets are and will forever be your best friend when on the Caveman diet, as there are so many ways to eat them. This recipe is quick, easy, and totally delicious no matter when you decide on eating it. 


3 large eggs
1 tbsp of coconut oil


Preheat your favorite frying pan at a medium to high heat. Meanwhile beat your eggs along with the rest of your ingredients except for the coconut oil thoroughly until everything is properly incorporated. Place the coconut oil on the pan and when it starts to bubble up a bit add the egg mixture and wait until the edges start to cook up. Once it does break the sides to allow the top to cook and turn off the heat. 

– The Perfect Waffles

If you want to add something a little extra to your omelet, you could also make these super health and delicious waffles. It may sound a bit of a challenge to make them, but there really isn’t much to them, because as long as you have a waffle maker, you can make amazing waffles whenever you desire. 

Ingredients for the Waffles:

1 ripe large banana
4 large eggs
1/3 cup of coconut oil
1 cup of coconut milk
2 tsp of vanilla extract
1/2 cup of coconut flour
2 tbsp of raw honey
1/4 cup of almond flour
2 tsp of ground cinnamon
melted coconut oil for the grease waffle iron
1/2 cup and 2 tbsp of arrowroot powder
1 tsp of sea salt.

Ingredients for the Syrup:

1/2 cup of organic honey
1/2 cup of melted coconut oil
2 tsp of ground cinnamon
2 tsp of vanilla extract.
Fresh bananas as toppings (optional)


Combine all of the waffles ingredients together in a food processor or blender to blend until it is completely smooth. Let the batter sit for a good 10 minutes and blend again for 3 more seconds to achieve the perfect consistency. Coat the waffle iron with the coconut oil to prevent the batter from sticking and pour some batter to cover the maker and cook until it turns light brown. Keep an eye on them because every waffle irons heat and size is different. For the honey, melt all the topping ingredients together in a saucepan and stir thoroughly. Drizzle the hot syrup on top with the fresh bananas and strawberries if desired.

– Greek Yogurt Parfait

This is by far the easiest and fastest paleo breakfast recipe out there, while it tastes super delicious. Although the granola isn’t as fast to make, you can make them in big batches so that you won’t have to spend too much time on them.

Ingredients for the Parfait:

1 cup of Organic Greek Yogurt
1 cup of Fresh mixed berries

Ingredients for the Granola:

1 cup of raw cashews
1 cup of raw almonds
1/4 cup of raw pumpkin seeds
1/4 cup of raw sunflower seeds
1/2 cup of unsweetened coconut flakes
1/2 cup of raw honey
1 tsp of sea salt
1/4 cup of coconut oil
1 tsp of vanilla extract
1 cup of raisins

Equipment needed:

Mixing bowl
Blender or food processor
Stirring spoon
Baking sheet
Parchment paper


Preheat your oven to 275 degrees F and place the almonds, coconut flakes, and cashews in the blender or food processor to pulse a couple times and turn them into tiny chunks. Microwave the raw honey, coconut oil, and vanilla extract in a mixing bowl to mix everything for 40 seconds. Now add the nuts, coconut flakes and seeds and spread the granola mixture on a baking sheet properly lined with quality parchment paper. Cook it for 22 minutes or until it has become golden brown and stir occasionally. Remove it from the heat and add the remaining ingredients to then press everything to form a flat and neat surface. Cool for 20 minutes and break into tiny chunks to place on your parfait.
